The Heart of the African Wilderness

Rise early for a sunrise game drive, when the Mara is at its most atmospheric and wildlife is particularly active.

Travel through the open grasslands in search of predators and plains game. The morning provides excellent opportunities for photography and wildlife observation as the reserve comes alive.

Return to the lodge for breakfast followed by time to relax.

After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive, exploring different sections of the reserve and increasing your chances of encountering the Mara's diverse wildlife.

Depending on the season and wildlife activity, your safari may include encounters with large herds of wildebeest and zebra, big cats, elephants, giraffes and other species.

For couples and honeymooners, an optional private picnic lunch, sundowner or romantic private dining experience can be arranged.

Enjoy an early breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your flight from the Maasai Mara to Amboseli.

This is the preferred routing for a luxury safari because it avoids the long road journey between the two parks and preserves valuable holiday time.

Upon arrival at the Amboseli airstrip, you will be met and transferred to your luxury lodge.

Amboseli offers a completely different safari experience from the Mara. The park is famous for its large elephant herds and its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain.
